Advantage Multi (Advocate) for Cats
Advantage Multi (Advocate) for Cats offers comprehensive parasite protection in a convenient monthly topical application. This broad-spectrum solution is ideal for both indoor and outdoor cats that may not prefer oral treatments. One monthly dose safeguards against five types of parasites: heartworms, roundworms, hookworms, fleas, and ear mites. The formula kills fleas on contact, eliminating the need for them to bite your cat. It effectively treats flea infestations and controls ear mites, directly addressing pre-existing flea allergy dermatitis. Advantage Multi is 100% effective against heartworm disease after a single application and treats common intestinal worms. Suitable for cats weighing at least 2 pounds and 9 weeks old, it provides a full month of protection with an easy topical application.
How It Works?
Imidacloprid and Moxidectin are the two active ingredients present in Advantage Multi (Advocate) for cats. Imidacloprid, an insecticide acts as a parasite neurotoxin acting on the central nervous system of parasites by interfering with the transmission of the stimuli in the parasite’s nervous system. It causes a blockage in the nervous system of the parasite eventually leading to parasite and death. Moxidectin, an anthelmintic drug kills parasitic worms and is used to prevent and control heartworms and intestinal worms in cats. When both these ingredients are used in conjunction it results in total abolishment of fleas, intestinal worms and heartworms in cats.
